whats the average # of honor points you get on each wave?

It ranges from like 10-15 or so on Wave 1 to the 50-60s in the higher waves. Wave 10 is a guaranteed 80 honor points.

Depends on the role. Healer gives crazy amounts compared to Defender. It's probably that, and the difficulty of the role, that puts people off the latter.
