Link0962
Alrighty. In the Enlightened Journey quest, whenever Auguste tells you to get the however many willow branches, I read on the quest guide on this site that you didn't need to actually plant his special willow plant and get branches from his tree, but that you could go to any old tree and get the branches. So I tried that. I went to Draynor first and use my snippers on the tree, and I get this message: http://img821.imageshack.us/i/willowtree.jpg/ (I tried to put the image tags around it, says I can't do that in this forum. Sorry. It's ImageShack.) Okay, so maybe it's just that somehow the game knows how long that tree hasn't been cut down, so I cut it down, and wait for it to respawn and attempt to snip the branches again. Same message. Different tree, same message. Different location (just over the stone fence by Draynor next to the spirit tree patch), same thing. So I'm guessing Jagex caught on that people didn't actually *need* the farming level to finish this quest. I guess all you need to do is fix the quest guide and remove the part about it being ANY willow tree, because it kinda bummed me out that I'll have to wait for the tree to grow, thus waiting that much longer to use the balloon service. K4ylan
That's because you can only receive willow branches from trees grown with the farming skill. In the quest they give you a special seed to grow a willow tree, but you could just use any old willow tree seed and cut those branches. ~~~The Harpy List~~~Harpy Facts~~~It's Super Effective~~~The Beginning~~~Harpy Therapy Center~~~Alg~~~Jedi Harpy~~~Rohirrim~~~Attenuation~~~
Vulxai
however, you do not have to use the tree he provides you, you may use your own. It says you may use your own, it doesn't say any willow tree.
