I assume JLR has used Photoshop for these kind of sigs, but which type of "actions" were used to create such an amazing effect. E.g...The white lines in the background of the first sig posted.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If this is created by brushes, how do they blend so well together, and how are specific parts of the picture coloured seperately?

It was done in PSP or PS, and he just either used brushe's, made his own brushes, and added some nice filters/glows. Read sometutorials at http://www.good-tutorials.com

I suggest you pm JLR and ask him...
