MTK efficiency guide

Featured Replies

Well I'm just uploading this file for the general public to use. I wanted to write a full-fledged guide to manage thy kingdom someday, but I don't have the time anymore for that. So apart from this small inpost explanation of the spreadsheet this is provided to anyone "as is".

Download mtk2.xls from Host-A

Mirror Rapidshare (slow + wait time)

This is an efficiency calculator for manage thy kingdom. The specific distributions for each material and all special items is all done by personal emperical research - though I can say it is fairly accurate (over 3 years of data).

Advantages

The advantage of this sheet is that it will "automatically" (or well almost: at click of a button and after waiting like 10 seconds) update all prices from the ge. So it will never get outdated (though as it is an offline tool, be sure to update it yourself before withdrawing items from mtk). It calculates the average daily profit you will make, with a given number of days between "topping up" your kingdom. The drawback of this is that it works with macros (as macros are needed to open a query with the runescape server and request the data). So to use it fully you'll have to enable macros (at least for this file).

Furthermore it can also "exactly" calculate the profit you will make when withdrawing after an "X" amount of days. - It takes into account that "X" isn't always a multitude of the days between popping up your kingdom, and also rounds (down) the number of specials/items you get.

Usage

When using macros the only thing one has to edit the "main" tab.. And only the light blue fields. (And click the "update" button regularly).

When not using macros, you have to input the prices from the ge manually: this should be done in the "values" tab.

That's all there is to use it, I think most cells are self explanatory.

Take your advantage with it,

First they came to fishing

and I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing

Then they came to the yews

and I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews

Then they came for the ores

and I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores

Then they came for me

and there was no one left to speak out for me.

Interesting, rep up

Will definitely use once I get situated again and start using MTK as a viable source of income.

Very nice, I was working on one of these a while back but never finished it. I gathered a lot of information on nests but never got the calculator part done.

If you want any of the info, I have it all in a Google Docs spreadsheet. https://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=0As3LX0otza6IclVoWDNCNDNTc2NmODlQUWJDczhlaXc&hl=en&output=html

All of the prices are auto-updated every hour.
