Combat Guide - Defenders

Featured Replies

Hi dearies! <3:

I just wanted to point out a few discrepensies I found while browsing through the Defenders subsection of the Combat guide.

Defenders can be obtained in the Warriors' Guild. First, you must earn tokens by participating in various Activities within the guild. You can then spend these tokens by fighting Cyclopes found on the top floor of the guild. For every minute you spend fighting these monsters, you will lose ten tokens. There's a small chance a Cyclops will drop a defender.

According to the Warrior's Guild Guide - Second Floor section the:

  • Single token mode consumes 20 tokens per minute and
  • Multi token mode consumes 3 tokens of each type per minute, for a total of 15 points per minute

The first defender you get will be the bronze one. After obtaining the bronze defender, leave the Cyclopes room and show your defender to Kamfreena, who can be found just outside the room. She will tell you that the Cyclopes will drop the next defender, in this case iron. Repeat this process to obtain all the defenders. The last defender you'll get will be the rune defender; once you get it, you can keep killing Cyclopes in order to get more of them.

If you only have a single rune defender, and lose it, you'll have to go through the process of getting all the other defenders again before you can get your rune defender back. Therefore, it's wise to keep another defender, for example an adamant one, just in case.

The dragon defender is now the last defender available.

In addition, according to the second paragraph, it would be wise to keep a spare rune defender, as you no longer need the adamant one.

Keep up the great work, guys and gals! <3:

It seems a bit silly to go into great detail on how the spending of tokens works, in a guide not related to the Warrior's Guild. I've removed the offending line - if people wish to find out more about the token system, there's a link that'll take them to the Warrior's Guild guide. Should take care of that :)

Upgraded rune defenders to dragon ones, and the adamant one to rune. Another alternative would be to keep a spare dragon defender, I suppose.

Nor did I mean to imply that you were suggesting that great detail was needed :P just giving my reasoning for removing that tidbit.

Locking this, it'll board the train to completed submissions shortly...
