Hi I was wondering what some good PKing gear is for P2P/F2P It's been a while since I have PKed maybe since they removed the wildy.

 

Ignore the stats down there this is for a different account.

 

My Stats are

 

Attack - 71

Defence - 65

Strength - 72

Constitution - 70

Ranged - 47

Magic - 71

Summoning - 1

Prayer - 50

70 range for black dhide

high strength

70 defence because 65 is sorta in the middle of nowhere, but if you don't want to risk barrows, stay at 65 for now.

52 prayer short term, 70 prayer mid-long term. And finish King's Ransom for Piety.

 

For equipment, use a whip, beserker/neitz helm, rune top+legs, rune kite/defender, climbing boots/ some coloured boots for looks, team cape.

In your inventory, have a super set, prayer potion, sharks, and a teleport if you wish.

While rune pking with a 1:1 k:d ratio was profitable in the past, with old wild drop styles it wont work anymore, you either need to rune pk with some tricks (ks->cmaul possible?) or risk enough that you have a higher K:D ratio against better risking opponents. This means hybriding. Practice in the duel arena/clan wars/any PvP minigame you can think of. Risk mystic/rune/hides to begin with and start to figure out what works for you. Watch hybriding videos, and figure out tricks that pros use. While doing this, continue to train anything but defense. Aim for 95+ prayer with all stats for curses complete, 99 strength+attack, 99 mage, 99 range, 96+ summoning, ~75-80 defense.

The advice I gave him are for edgeville rune fights, yes they might not be as profitable, but if he picks the right opponents and gets some kills, he could build some valuable experience for a beginner PKer, which I assume he is judging by his stats. He probably will get killed by people who are built for PKing and are experienced, but I find it hard to believe he can perservere to high 90 stats just to PK.

Hybridding is good, but not for a beginner like OP.

 

Also I forgot to add you will need a DDS as a special weapon to have a better chance to KO. :wink:

Never said rune fights taught you how to hybrid.

 

IMO, with his stats, training up for hybridding will take much much longer than the levels for simple rune fights, so I suggest that route for him. Please stop with the personal attacks, thanks.

Hybridding (all opinions, obviously, but commonly shared ones) is more fun, more profitable if you're good, and less luck-based than rune dms. It requires more practice and training, but in the long term it's a better option.

also at anything remotely close to his current stats hes going to get wrecked by pures, zerkers and range tanks. If you really want to pk right now, find someone close to your levels and ask them if they want to DM.
