Becoming a F2P Rune pure

Featured Replies

I am tired of all these range pures and if they are melee they have defense. I want to become a rune pure, because for one I can train more places and do other stuff. I also will raise my combat to get away from range pures.

Current stats:

Attack: 40

Strength: 73

Defense: 1

HP: 63

Prayer: 1

Range: 1

Mage: 25

Combat: 52

Option A:

Attack: 40

Strength: 73

Defense: 40

HP: 63

Prayer: 43

Range:1

Mage 25

Combat: 67

Option B:

Attack: 50

Strength: 73

Defense: 40

HP: 63

Prayer: 43

Range:1

Mage 25

Combat: 70

Option C:

Attack: 40

Strength: 73

Defense: 40

HP: 63

Prayer: 1

Range:1

Mage 25

Combat: 62

Option D:

Attack: 50

Strength: 73

Defense: 40

HP: 63

Prayer: 1

Range:1

Mage 25

Combat: 65

Which do you think I should do?

Would this be the best set up? Rune full, rune scimmy, team cape. Inv rune 2h, telly runes(if going deep) swordies.

What can I change and what could I improve on.

Thank you,

Soccer Kid

It really depends what you want to do with your account.

For now, it has some pretty great stats - just keep it that way and keep training strength. You can just keep wearing your iron full :)

-One idea you can branch off is have 1 defense but level up prayer. That way you can wear monk robes (which aren't too much worse then iron). That way you can pray both protection as well as ultimate strength/incredible reflexes. You can keep your attack at 40 and it'll be a pretty great account.

If you really wanted to get a rune pure (i don't think it's actually considered a pure anymore) I would probably start a new account. It sounds like a lot of work but it'll be worth it.

From the start, I would just train atk/str/def/prayer.

-Cap your def at 40, prayer at 43 and just work with that.

Having a 40/73/1 is pretty nice and it'll be tons easier to make a rune pure. That account looks like it took up a lot more effort and there's no real reason to give up now.

Dude seriously! get your defense and prayer up! if ya wanna own in the wildy get high defense and prayer! back in the days when i still had my main, i used to annoy the crap out of people who couldn't hit me due to my high defense and prayer for my cb lvl...you've got epic strength so ur gonna hit hard but unless u got descent defense ur gonna get blown away!

oh and by the way if ya don't wanna get owned by mage pures train mage! (Fist of Guthix FTW)

But a higher Magic and Prayer level would be very useful.

Btw, why would you bring teleport runes? It's a bit... noob... to teleport away... <_<

If i am going deep like rune mines and I really have to go. I would need to be able to teleport away. Or if I ran into a clan.

It doesn't matter. If you're going deep - you can't teleport away.

Teleport is blocked (I think at lvl 20 wildy and higher although it can be 15). So if you encounted a serious pk/clan - they would bind/slaughter you before you have any real chance to escape
