Skully
I really don't understand this program. My headphones broke in one ear today, I normally use them at night plugged into the line-in on my USB speaker/iPod dock set, and all works fine. So i took my Turtle Beach X1's from my xbox 360 and plugged them into the correct ports in the back of my PC. Ok, all's good. I get a pop-up from RealTek asking me what the things are I just plugged in, I chose Headphones and Mic respectively. No sound. I uninstalled the dumb program and then my PC didn't even realise the headset was plugged in. Unplugged it all and put it back in, RealTek is automatically reinstalled, and the headset shows up in the volume control with iTunes & system sounds both on full blast, yet I can only hear system sounds. Seriously how can I get rid of all this garbage and just have my PC work normally and play through stuff when it's plugged in without any hassel? Nadril
Did you make sure to plug in the usb part too? Stupid question, I know.

jasignhagj
You may have a realTek sound card, in which case you have to use their program. Also, iirc 360 TBs don't work as mics on PC, just as headphones.
Skully
Yeah I only wanted to use them as headphones, that wouldn't even work. So how much am I looking at to replace that garbage and get a new one where I don't need that trash?
jasignhagj
Go to the RealTek site, and download the newest driver. That may be your problem, because the TBs are newer.
