Neohero1972
Hi I have recently made it to floor 30 (my highest) and then I reset my progress. I have then begun to rush through floor 1 - 20 on complexity 1 Now I'm wondering why prestige is so low ? - it's only around 1190 and slowly raising. From the picture in the guide for Dung I can see that the player has reached floor 41 and has a prestige 18860 (the players was at floor 26) when the image was made. I have made a list of the prestige I got on each floor before I reset and I can see that I reached 7955 prestige when I finished floor 30. Shouldn't I have kept the 7955 prestige when I reset my progress or...? Adventurer's Log for Neohero1972
LitterBug
I remember seeing this when I first started DG but it seemed that as I leveled back up I got all my prestige back. However, I never really did C1's much so that might account for the difference in the prestige (although I was led to believe that prestige was based on how many floors you've done only. This may be a stupid question but when you're rushing floors 1-20, you're not resetting after that right? You do 21-30 on C6 or whatever then reset after that right? That is the only thing I can think of that can account for the drastic lowered prestige rate.

You have understood it right , I'm planning to do 1-20 on C1 and then progress to floor 30+ on C6 and after that I reset again. I suspected the reason to why the my prestige is so low is due to the chosen floor complexity, however, I have read a ton of posts all saying something like: "After a reset; rush all floors up the 10 highest floors you can do and then do the last 10 on complexity 6" Adventurer's Log for Neohero1972
Hedgehog
Prestige is equal to the number of floors you've done, so if you skipped a few floors below 30, your prestige will be lower. I actually just read the topic. You're talking about how much your prestige effects your xp. With 30 prestige at f1, I'd only expect about 1k prestige, but at f30 you'd get around 10k. green9090
That prestige value varies based on things like the size and difficulty level of the dungeon, so on c1 solos it'll be extremely low. What you're looking for is that you still have prestige 30- if you do you'll get the same amount on the higher floors as you're used to. Nothing to worry about. Does this mean that I'll get my higher prestige back when I increase the compexity ? - I've just completed floor 19 and hereafter I'm doing the rest on complexity 6. green9090
Yes. Honestly, it's probably best not to pay attention to the gritty mechanics like that. There are a lot of weird and arbitrary things that go into that number, so it's very hard to control. It's definitely calculated individually each floor though, so what you did on f1 will never affect your exp for other floors except in that it gives you an extra prestige next reset.
