I like it but the focus change is really abrupt (and distracting imo). Not sure if that was your intent or not, but I'd try to get the back of the post a little more in focus.

1. Slightly overexposed around the top of the post - probably just the metering getting confused. Good focus.

2. Focus is off - like I said on Facebook - use a tripod if you are shooting in burst mode at fast shutter speed - make sure to use AF - it's just not going to look good trying to manually focus in burst mode.

3. What are you trying to show here?

4. It's a nice portrait, slightly overexposed in some areas, but it's a refreshing angle.

 

All I can think of really. Exhausted, sitting in a hotel 150 miles from home on 3G.

Needs more lighting. For a good low key portrait, you need to have more of the lighting on his face, not his clothes.
