Augh, not another missing button background!

Featured Replies

Hello, Tip.It Staff... It looks like another odd problem has knocked on the door of this forum. :(

While browsing the Tip.It Forums today, I've been constantly noticing that the button background(s) for "Watch Topic", "Start New Topic", "Add Reply", and "Manage Topic Poll" have all been missing. Further, I've been receiving the following error back from FireFox any time I attempt to directly access the image...

File not found

Firefox can't find the file at http://forum.tip.it/public/style_images/runetips3/topic_button.png.

   * Check the file name for capitalization or other typing errors.

   * Check to see if the file was moved, renamed or deleted.

...which, given the that I think all of these requests are supposed to be getting redirected to forum.public.cdn.tip.it, would mean that a redirect at the Tip.It Forums Server is currently failing. As I mentioned in the title description, I'm currently using the "Tip.It Theme", and have been since the switchover from PhpBB3 to IPB. Not having those four button backgrounds right now is making the forums much harder to use than usual, so could an admin please get this fixed reasonably fast if/when they are able to?

I'm not experiencing those issues.

Are you using the latest version of Firefox? (Or any other browser for that matter)

Killerred, browser versions shouldn't matter in this situation. And I really don't think the CDN is being picky about browser versions either. This is a matter of just one image failing to come down the internet pipe while all the others are loading from the CDN servers. <.<

As for me, I'm going to try exiting my browser and clearing the cache, as well as flushing my TCP/IP DNS Stack. If it doesn't unstick after that, then I'm going to be reasonably sure the problem is either in the CDN or the TIF Server.

Alright, nevermind everyone... It unstuck after clearing the cache. Perplexing, however, because my "re-check on every page load" setting on this browser should have caused a reload of the image already. :-k

I also noticed after the image loaded that it actually came directly from the forums. I thought all of these had been moved to the CDN? Ah well, must have been the internet preventing me from originally getting the image before and so my browser got stuck due to it. :(

(p.s.: I've requested a thread lock...)
