January 7, 200620 yr Here is my story of legend of the brothers. Inspired by the stupid crumbling tome book outside the spook barrows graveyard. Post your thoughts. Chapters will be posted daily. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Prolouge During the second era of runescape, zamoraks presence was lurking almost everywhere. Particularly most noticably in the Mort'ton region, better known as "The Land of The Dead". During the middle of this era, there was a great battle waged between saradomin and zamorak. Zamorak was much more powerful at this time, and had an army of monsters on his side, known as the "Bloodhunters". The bloodhunters were very powerful and the human warriors of saradomin stood no chance against such vicious foes. But saradomin had somthing on his side. Something much more powerful than zamorak's army. Saradomin's army had loyal warriors, powerful strategies, but most importantly, six elite warriors known only as "The Brothers". The brothers were not like any ordinary warrior. They were much more powerful and fought better than the rest of the army combined. The brothers consisted of a mage who was the eldest of all six, four warriors, and a ranger, who was said to be the youngest of all six. The brothers were always confident, and jumped into battle with little regard to their own safety. They relied on only one another for aid. During The Great God War, the brothers and the rest of saradomin's army fought a deadly campaign into the heart of the enemies' territory. All was going well, all the battles fought ended up giving saradomin victory. Just as the campaign was almost over, and sardomin's army was right at the heart of an unkown penninsula (now better known as Mort'ton), something happened. During another fight with one of zamorak's last line of defense, a stranger in green robes appeared. This stranger did not seem to be of zamorak's nor saradomin's army. During the battle, he stood on a small hill observing the battle. Namley, observing the six warriors in the middle of the battlefeild. This caused the brothers a strange feeling, and distracted them from the fight at hand. The stranger kept appearing during battles more and more frequently. Each time he appeared the brothers got distracted more and more. They got distracted so much that the have been dealt severe wounds, which had to be attended to immediatly. One day, the brothers were sitting around a campfire enjoying their meals, when the stranger appears out of the dense swamp mist once again. This time, though, the stranger starts approaching the brothers, in such way as if though he was a friend. The brothers, however, stood up and drew their weapons. It was the first time any warrior of the saradomin army had seen the brothers unsure. The stranger instantly stopped and stood silently, looking at the brothers as if though observing each and every detail about them. Moments later, the stranger turned around and walked back into the dense mist. Later in the night, the brothers fainted and lay on the ground speaking in an unknown language. The only word understood was "Zaros". The brothers were instantly taken to medical treatment. When the doctor inspected the brothers, he found that all the wounds were severly swollen, my something very deadly. It was a force not of this world. None of the doctors knew what to do. Finally, a few hours later, as if on cue, all six brothers gasped one last breath, and died. Saradomin's army could not advance any further without the brother's aid. They planned to retreat from the enemies territory, but before they did, they built a grand barrows for the six brothers to keep them from predators. The construction took almost a week, and when it was finally finished, the warriors buried the brothers with much respect yet little ceremony. Immediatly after the brothers had been buried the saradomin army retreated from the enemies' lands. One last look at the barrows, and the warriors realized that the stranger was standing yet again, on the middle hill of the barrows, looking up into the sky. He stood there silently and would not move even his breath. The warriors fled fearing that they could receive infections just like the brothers. Yet on their journey home, they saw a green glow on the horizon where the brothers were buried, and every night they heard an eerie moan. Zamorak's army had not attacked at all, partly out of respect, but mostly freightened of the force that had killed the same brothers that had defeated more than half of their entire army. Some today say that under the barrows, lies a hidden tunnel, guarded by the spirits of the brothers, in a room in the very center of the dungeons, lies a giant stone chest, which holds the brothers' legendary armor and until this very day, it remains there, waiting for its owners to return and weild it again, so that zamorak may once again fall under the powers of saradomin. But that is another story... Chapter 1- A Reason of Faith :::COMING SOON!::: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
