The quest reward on the website states

 

"You now stop damaging your teammates when using the catapult in Castle Wars"

 

I remember this used to be one of the rewards, but I just completed the quest and the reward states

 

"Increased damage when using Castle Wars catapults"

 

I have a screenie if you want proof but i don't know how to upload it!!!, maybe jagex changed it?

how to upload a picture:

Go to a file/image uploading website like http://imageshack.us/ and select the picture you want to upload. Then select the direct link (or open the picture in a new window and select the adresbar ending with something like .jpg .png etc.) put those between

[img][/img]

and you have your picture in the post :).

Hmm this is interesting.

 

I wonder if it does however still not damage you as a reward from the quest, just not mentioned.

 

Though it is possible that the catapult simply just no longer damages you automatically regardless if you have beat this quest. Definitively something that will need further testing.

The quest reward in the game guide states that you still get the reward of "no friendly fire". According to RSWiki, this was changed to "dealing more damage" with the big castle wars update of last year, though the update text itself makes no mention of it. They do provide an image of the updated reward screen though: here.

 

I would assume the "no friendly fire" quest reward was removed though, as the new set bonuses for intricate and profound castle wars armour include "immunity from catapult damage".
