Metaform
...but 8 is enough for one thread yes? Yes. At the time of posting this I'm farming the last ~1200 crimson charms for 88 summoning (89 if I make my own ponies, which I might for geyser titans). I'm trying to figure out the best way to continue getting my goals: 95 prayer, overloads etc. The usual stuff. Aside from my stats, I currently have: full Elite Void with melee helm, ranger helm and deflector. (mage helm is Irish for [cabbage], yes?)Elite ExcaliburCharms for a Pony almost221 quest points (I get terribly bored doing them, yet I want TDs unlocked  )BandosDFS (only for cannoning wyverns, which I'm doing constantly atm)FuryZerker ringChaotic Rapier1,000 extreme attack, strength, defence I don't really "do" money makers currently - I slayed quite a bit prior to this charm farming spree, I do the 10maple5coal MTK setup as I'm forgetful and have to collect more than once a week. My wyvern massacring gets me about 500k profit after c-balls an hour (plus the 100 crimsons an hour). All told I'm worth like ~90m currently, which is not enough to get what I want obviously. Q's: 1: Is getting 95 prayer the next important thing I should work toward? (would getting soul split first make farming the last 3 levels easier? I doubt it but..) 2: If so, how should I go about making the ~70m I need to buy the bones? (frost, ourg bones I was looking at most) 3: Overloads maybe? I've plotted getting them via GE and Tip.it's skill planner, comes out to ~38m + torstol cost for however many overloads I choose to make. 4: Is there any way I can incorporate getting 99 range and magic into these goals efficiently (or maybe not..)? 5: Is there something important I'm forgetting/unaware of due to being ancient and bad? (besides dungeoneering...) 6: Would something like solo/duo dagg kings be viable with what I have or can get quickly? Or should I just tie myself to my desk and slave out the quests and or dung levels? 7: Is buying as much of say, 95 prayer, as I can now a good idea? Prices seem rather low but... 8: If I can tolerate dung enough to get another reward, which would help the most currently? I do need more dungeoneering rewards (maul, ccb, scrolls etc) and I'm sure frost dragons, even with bots, is still a great moneymaker but... Frankly I find it hard to "enjoy" that skill as much as I would like and barely enough to get what I want out of it (yet I enjoyed fletching without fletch X /facedesk )... I'm destructively forgetful and that does not help. :wall: I am going to stop being terrible and start farming snapdragons in between wyvern trips etc, so that should help the funds out a bit. I've probably forgotten something but thanks in advance anyway! :^_^:
Cheat
I would get the prayer levels when you can afford turmoil and not before because having soul split is great but it remains better in my opinion to be able to use piety on your tasks. Of course at 95 prayer you can forget about normal prayers apart from possibly at Nex. Making money is an annoying process, personally my recommendation would once you have finished at wyverns sell your DFS and use the money to flip with, continue to do profitable dailies and herb runs while collecting from MTK. Do all this while earning the chaotics you'll need to boss hunt perhaps most importantly ccbow and rigour followed by the maul. There isn't much point in getting overloads until your boss hunting and to boss hunt you'll want 96 summoning first and 95 prayer as well. So save the money and flip with it to make more. Getting 99 mage and range can be done while acquiring charms for a pack yak. You can chin nechs in the chaos tunnels for 100 - 150 crimsons an hour with a 1m - 1.5m profit with a yak I'm not sure of the profit without being able to bank ashes but will be much lower. You can also gather charms at rock lobsters by barraging them as your only 88 mage you should smoke barrage them as this is still better than ice burst. This is expensive but very quick charms perhaps something to spend your money on after 95 prayer if you still don't have enough charms for 96 summon. As to things you've forgotten I probably have forgotten them as well. Price of prayer is low at the moment but to be honest I don't see it going up much - more people will be buying it come the summer but equally more people will be bringing bones in to the game via slayer and frost dragons so I don't see there being much change in the price. There is no point in bankrupting yourself for a useless level like 89 prayer. Dung rewards - I would say ccbow when your looking to monster hunt then chaotic maul for its uses at waterfiends etc.. I woulds suggest you try the tip.it based dging clan DGS I have never used them but their reviews are overwhelmingly good. Quyneax
Nechs aren't 1m/hr with a yak - you can bank maybe 500k in ashes per hour (150 specs per hour, just over 3k per ash). If you ever want very high total you can ignore mage and just max it through low-alchs as you go through woodcutting/fishing/mining and with fire surge on ice wyrm tasks. If you only want max combat asap then barrage rock lobsters and chin nechs for charms after you get a yak. You can get rigour and cmaul and go tding - it's a low-requirement boss you can do without turmoil/overloads/yak (yak is actually bad there) provided you have a unicorn. It's also fairly decent charms and effigies, but the income is somewhat low. It should still be higher than frost dragons with a yak. If you're not into tding you can do DKS but those require yak + ovl and turmoil is preferred. DKS require less chaotics, only the rapier is really a big upgrade, after of course the arcane stream necklace. If you want 99 slayer, magic and ranged you could also do mage/range slayer and fit your task list. This requires you to skip/block things you can't cannon and things with high magic and ranged defence (waterfiends, wyverns). Quyneax
Ashes, bones, herbs etc. have dropped a lot - I'm pretty sure the guide assumed ashes to be over 5k, which would be around 750k profit from ashes assuming the other drops pay for the chins. Metaform
Thanks for the replies you two! So I need to make money for turmoil...Flipping you say? I imagine I could sell my Bandos, DFS etc and just do Waterfiends for charms, should leave me with ~75-80m to flip with. I'm not that economically challenged, but is there certain items best to flip with? Or perhaps a guide on what to look for? The first thing that came to mind was trying to flip something "big ticket" that's in my range, like an AGS. Is this a good idea? Or should I try resources and consumables?
Cheat
I haven't flipped in a while cos of inactivity on the game but I would suggest items between 1 and 50k rather than very expensive items at least to begin with as these are easier to buy in bulk. Finding the prices on an AGS will lose you a lot of money. A good flip should increase your investment by 3%+. To be honest 20m is enough to start flipping and you won't want to sell all your gear part of what is so good about flipping is you can do while your still doing slayer or w/e.
