Macmaster92
Ello, I recently started playing Runescape again after a whopping 869 days. Everything is so different! Including this new skill called Dungeoneering. I read the tip.it skill guide for it, however I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. I was wondering if anyone who has more experience in the skill could maybe show me the ropes and go through some of it with me; and maybes fill me in on some of the major changes to Runescape. My combat level is 102 and my RS name is Mac Master92. -Thanks
JacTise69
Level to 50 through tears of guthix, penguin points, troll invasion, and exp lamps. At this point you can "bind" 2 items that will always be with you in every dungeon. Use these two spots to bind the highest tier platebody and 2h that you can. Then go into a dungeon and do every floor on complexity 1. Once you've completed all your floors (24 being your highest?) hit the reset button on your party interface outside of a dungeon. From then on do all of your floors except for the highest 5 you have available on complexity 1, and your highest five on complexity 6 small or medium (medium providing more exp). Monsters in dg have weaknesses that are greatly exagerated, meaning a crush weak monster will die significantly faster to a crush attack style than a slash or stab attack style. The best way to learn these weaknesses is to play and experiment but some are intuitive, such as skeletons being weak to crush etc. Trolling by giving good advice since April 2011. Doomster
If you've come back to P2P, then yes, you could use Tears, better to apply some fixed XP boost first, otherwise the exchange rate for tears will be lower. If you've been away a while, there should also be some achievements to do, which tend to come with lamps for 500xp or more. If you're doing it the hard way, then remember those resets whenever you can't advance a floor, do the resource dungeons before you hit the "can't advance", because resource dungeon XP (for 1st visit!) does not open a new floor if you already reached the end of your current open floors.
