Maxing

Apologies as I know there have been a few of these topics lately, but I figured I'd make my own as I'm aiming to max by 2012. Just looking at the most efficient yet cost effective ways of maxing the remainder of my skills (except from Dungeoneering, don't expect to max that too before 2012), just gonna type out my plans and hopefully people can advise me or correct me.

Runecrafting - Will be powerslaying with max gear, Overloads, Turmoil and Cannon for Effigies as I cannot afford to gather more than 50 or so Effigies at Cave Crawlers. Need around 210 Effigies from 88-99, will also be putting my penguin points and lamps from the two elite diarys I have left to complete towards it. Also most likely going to be ZMI'ing for the Bonus XP weekend as I will have all buyables maxed by then.

Construction - Oak Dungeon doors with SC hammers.

Agility - I have a few plans for Agility, my first plan is just normal training at Advanced Gnome/Barbarian course. Second plan is just playing Collector at BA to fill my horn and then training as normal, and the third which is what I'll probably do is leave this skill until last, pour whatever money I have left over into it (money from gathering 210 Effigies via Slayer, money from 99 Fishing and money from 99 Mining and money from farming Torstols) and head to Cave Crawlers.

Thieving - Pyramid Plunder to 99, I haven't done the quest for Monkey Knife Fighters and I believe they require alot more concentration/clicking than PP.

Fletching - Magic logs to unstrung bows.

Hunter - Unsure as to whether to ZMI or Hunt during Bonus XP weekend but I figure I'll ZMI. I guess I should be doing Common-Draconic Jadinkos for this? Currently have 191 Zamorak Favours (3) and 106 Hunter Potions (3).

Mining - Gold at LRC with Juju Potions, banking the ores. Should I be using a Pack Yak or a Titan? Urns or no Urns?

Fishing - Shilo with Urns/Granite Lobster until 90 and Rocktails with Urns/Granite Lobster to 99.

Firemaking - Pyrelord Firemaking with Magic Logs and Ring of Fire/Flame Gloves.

Farming - Yews/Papayas/Calquats/Torstols.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Training Hunter in BXPW would be a waste imo. It's already a fast skill and you won't receive any additional xp for using Zamorak favours.

More jadinkos also means more juju mining pots ;)

Owner of a comp cape since February 11th 2012.

That works. It's better if you're not 99 slayer of course. Crawlers aren't really that expensive.

Construction - Oak Dungeon doors with SC hammers.

No hammers are more efficient, but I hate construction so i'd do that too, lol.

Fill up your horn with friends/good teams, and if it happens to be your last skill do crawlers.

Thieving - Pyramid Plunder to 99, I haven't done the quest for Monkey Knife Fighters and I believe they require alot more concentration/clicking than PP.

PP works fine. Monkey knife fighters are hard to get above 260k with.

Fletching - Magic logs to unstrung bows.

You should do broad arrows if you have the cash.

Do it normally; as someone else said, you get less seeds and less benefit from zamorak favour.

Mining - Gold at LRC with Juju Potions, banking the ores. Should I be using a Pack Yak or a Titan? Urns or no Urns?

You should use your mousekeys or get AHK. If you're banking with jujus you should still use a titan. Use urns but don't fill your inventory.

Fishing - Shilo with Urns/Granite Lobster until 90 and Rocktails with Urns/Granite Lobster to 99.

Barbarian fishing the whole way. There goes a lot of that agility exp needed.

Firemaking - Pyrelord Firemaking with Magic Logs and Ring of Fire/Flame Gloves.

If you have a regular BA team, you could use horn for this efficiently.

Farming - Yews/Papayas/Calquats/Torstols.

You can easily get 60k+ a day off torstols. Gauge the amount of trees you'll do a day based on when you're planning to max (why get farm exp above 99 if you don't want 200m etc)

Thanks in advance for any input.

I believe Crawlers are around a 2m/h loss, I'm only gonna have around 100m left after I max my buyables.

Yeah I can't stand Construction, so I'm using the hammers just for the faster exp rather than for saving cash.

Would be filling it up with randoms from W6 so I guess I'll leave that until last and do crawlers.

Not sure if I really wanna pay like 20m just for 96-99 Fletching, would rather do it semi-afk while watching TV or something and save the cash.

Been a long, long time since I've used mousekeys so it will probably take some time to get use to again, but if the exp margain is that much greater then I guess I should learn how to use them again.

Fishing - Shilo with Urns/Granite Lobster until 90 and Rocktails with Urns/Granite Lobster to 99.

Barbarian fishing the whole way. There goes a lot of that agility exp needed.

Not into the whole dropping/mousekeys stuff as you can see above :P I like the afkness of Rocktails aswell plus the small cash boost it will provide, I'll get alot of Fishing exp from my effigies since I'll have maxed Farming before I use any.

Firemaking - Pyrelord Firemaking with Magic Logs and Ring of Fire/Flame Gloves.

If you have a regular BA team, you could use horn for this efficiently.

Don't have one so I guess I'll stick to the Pyrelord.

Farming - Yews/Papayas/Calquats/Torstols.

Yeah I already banked 99 in trees though, just doing the Torstols for cash mostly and I'm averaging around 130k Farming exp a day combining the trees and herbs.

Thanks in advance for any input.
