Kamile
We were out on a nonmandatory, no prep player killing trip in the very exciting GMT wilderness when Peter asked me about challenging Corruption to a fight. Although I was having a lot of fun killing open CC teams on a no-protect world with my gravite 2h, I went and asked Fast993 about a potential Runescape battle. After about 3 seconds we agreed on the rules and decided to begin fighting in ~20 minutes. At that time, we had about 20 people active in our PKing channel. Immediately the event became mandatory and we got a few more people to the event before it started. At 8:30 GMT we had around 30 actives and we went to west tree and DDed with 84 options. Corruption was about 10 minutes late because Fast993 has an IQ of 17 and forgot to tell them the correct time for the fight to start at, so in that time we gained a few more people - up to about 102 opts. Cor came along with about 70-75 and our epic Runescape battle began. Rules:Spiders to east treeDG onCorrupt offNo snipers1.5 hour cap The Rising starting: 102 Corruption starting: 70-75 Well our number advantage kind of defined the rest of the fight. Our numbers increased consistently and there was no looking back. I expected Corruption to gain a bit more than they did, but I think it was too early for them to fight with such a short prep. Their numbers did increase, but not as much as ours did. They did a good job of hanging in there with us and keeping us on our toes, but they couldn't overcome the difference in numbers. There were some minor disturbances in the fight. DK #1092350894304598340598345098345 crashed Cor and we got off immediately to chase some 12 year olds to mossies. A while after that we saw them at the fight again and hit them immediately, at which point they decided to do what open CC teams do best and kill returners. RSD came along on a PK trip or something like that and sent them scrambling (thanks ) shortly after. Our TS server also got reset mid fight because our host sucked major balls (and because I didn't read the e-mail about server migration :>), but we got ourselves set up on a backup quickly and didn't bother asking Cor to stop the fight. Corruption did their best to keep up with us, but given the number difference they needed a few regroups, which was understandable. Would have been a much closer fight if the numbers had been even, but thanks for hanging in there and giving us a fight :) At 10 GMT we took ending options and found the result we were pretty much expecting: The Rising ending: 150 Corruption ending: 90 Good job TR. There was literally no prep for this - I decided to mass up for a nonmand at about 7 GMT and the fight with Cor was set up about an hour and 15 minutes later, so great job on that. Also thanks a bunch to Cor for massing up and giving us a no prep fight in a timezone that favored us. It saved us from having to AC Fools/Brut :elephant2: The Rising kills - 206The Rising deaths - 120 Corruption kills - 100Corruption deaths - 185 Post your screenshots. I only took one screenie, and that was of this guy living up to his name after the fight :D ~ ~ ~~ ~ ~Expect the best, be prepared for the worst, [bleep] what others think & do your own thing.~ ~ ~MSN: [email protected]Skype: Kamile_999IRC name: KamileRSN: K A M I L EFeel Free To Add Me :>
