Died during a Server Crash.

Yep. Died at TDs not too long ago, due to World 82 crashing for a few minutes. I'm guessing i died while i was logged out because after logging back in i found myself in Lumbridge with 3 items.

I thought they usually have a small rollback when these things happen?

From what I know, normally a JMod will state in the forums that the game is instantly frozen & your account will be terminated instantly if the server did crash.

 

If there was a loss of connection you would remain connected for a little, but if it crashed everything would have stopped at that moment.

And they only do rollbacks in extreme cases, there have been many crashes where they wont rollback, so it's not always. I would have though the info you're after is on the official forums rather than here though.
