lumby task question

OK lumby task where you have to make str ammy step by step in lumby i have tried it once and didnt finish, i sheared sheep and made ball of wool is therea gold mine anywhere around i got mine in al kharid

Head to the furnace in Lumbridge. Use your gold ore on the furnace to smelt a bar. Use your chisel on an uncut ruby, and then use your gold bar on the furnace (with an amulet mould in your inventory) to make a ruby amulet (unstrung). Head to the sheep pen, and use your shears on a sheep. Head to the second floor of the lumbridge castle and spin the wool into some string. Use the string on your unstrung ruby amulet. Once it's strung, cast Level 3 Enchant on the strung amulet.

 

Taken from Tip.it's task guide. I'm pretty sure you can use a gold ore from bank, doesn't need to be mined from Lumbridge area.

 

Also it does not say anything about a mining requirement which it would if you had to mine the gold(I would think anyway).
