Biabf Posted January 17, 2006 Share Posted January 17, 2006 Hello all, I am a bassist in a band called Iron Lung, I am the Founder along with the Lead Vocalist. I have decided to make a website for the band although it is a freewebs, it will do for now. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on a logo for the band? Atm there is only a Bassist, Lead Vocalist (also plays guitar) and a Lead Guitarist. We may get a drummer in the future. But any suggestions for the logo in the meantime? ktmcf121 Posted January 18, 2006 Share Posted January 18, 2006 if you are serious about promoting your band, i suggest using free promotion websites such as purevolume and myspace. most of them will even let you host mp3s for free. a website helps a little, but we always got more hits on our myspace site and stlpunk(the local band site for st louis). as for a logo, i never was artistically talented or even creative for that matter Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
ktmcf121 Posted January 18, 2006 Share Posted January 18, 2006 oh and for some reason i never understood, fans always seemed to like promo pics better than logos.... like take a pic of the band members, but no one could be looking at the camera, take the pic upside down, or in an abandoned building, etc. i always thought it was dumb, and we never did it, but one time before we left for a show, our guitarists g/f took a pic of us standing in front of his car and we put it on the site as a joke, and less than a week later it was the most downloaded pic on the entire site, out of hundreds of stl bands Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Hehe, no we arent a tribute band but the lead vocalist thought it was a cool name and we all agreed... We play rock, heavy metal, punk lots fo stuff...
