Hi, just started doing glacors and got my first pair of boots (ragefire :))

 

I'm killing the unstable glacyte last, so i'm wondering about how I should finish off the glacor afterwards, because half the time it explodes then heals and I end up using twice as many runes.

 

Is there a way to avoid this such as waiting or am I not killing the glacytes fast enough?

use fire surge on the glacor after you kill the glacytes

You could also kill the sapping last, but you should be prepared to use a lot more prayer. To counter that just leave your prayer in the 10-200 range so the prayer drop isn't as bad. I believe both are relatively the same speed, but I always imagined killing sapping last would make for killing the glacor a bit faster, but I've never tested it.

are you using ovls and arcane stream and sol/chaotic staff?

do you have a surgebox?

you have to deal as much dps as possible

maybe you are taking too long to switch to mage gear and attack the glacor?
