Da Pirates Posted December 24, 2011 Share Posted December 24, 2011 Hello, I currently have a Compaq CQ60-210US laptop and I was trying to enable my built in microphone but with no success thus far -I am running Windows 7 (64-bit)-I called HP and they can confirm I have a built in mic-I tried talking into the voice recorder and got nothing during playback This is what my recording device shows: I downloaded the latest driver for that device also. Thanks!Hello, please try the following: In the menu you show in the picture, please right-click on the microphone and choose properties.Go to the "Levels" tab.Click & Drag the Microphone option to 100.Make sure the microphone is unmuted. (make sure the image to the right of the slider doesn't have a (\) next to it).Click Ok. Re-test using the voice recorder. Let us know how it worked for you.
