A portion of magic defense is decided by Defence skill. Is it 10%?

My understanding is that your 'magic defense level' is 30% defense and 70% magic. I have no idea where the information for that came from though, or how true it is.

The most common numbers i hear are 30% and 33%. 33% seems more plausible to me but I'm pretty sure I've seen the people in metagame say 30% more often, and they're usually right. (Plus, never expect jagex to do what seems sensible. :P)
