Yews vs Magics

Featured Replies

Woodcutting is probably not the best skill to make profit. It is very difficult to even reach 200k/hr, without the exception of items found in bird's nests. I've been told by many players and blogs that Yew trees make better cash and experience than Magic trees. I decided to try both of them out and see for myself. Please note that my current Woodcutting Level was 94.

The following data shown is based on an average of five hours:

Yew Tree (Catherby) - 260 logs / 112k gold/hr / 45,500xp/hr

Magic Tree (Mage Training Arena) - 112 logs / 152k gold/hr / 28,000xp/hr

-Also, other experience methods-

Choking Ivy (Anywhere) - Around 220 chops / Random Bird's Nests / 73,150xp/hr

Sawmill Training - 78,500xp/hr

Willow Trees (Port Sarim) - 752 logs / 7,520 gold/hr / 50,760xp/hr -I don't chop Draynor Willows, considering the massive quantity of bots.

Willow Trees (Catherby) - 780 logs / 7,800 gold/hr / 52,650xp/hr

Thank you, I hope you found this somewhat helpful. For anyone who does have 99 Woodcutting, I would love to have some accurate feedback on any of these methods, especially about Yews and Magics.
