Diomedus
I've been saving up money for some time. i'm close to 150m now, but i'm confused on what I should actually do to train herblore. I've been browsing the forums. One school of thought seems to be once you can make the extremes, make enough to get you to the next level for the next extreme, and then when you get to 96 for overloads, use all the extremes to do that. the other school of thought is making potions with the intent of selling. I already bought 95 prayer with no illusions. I was paying a lot of gp for a huge benefit in game. I don't mind not getting money back by selling the pots I make. I just need to know what people to do train herblore once they save up the money, My end goal is 96 for overloads, not 99. War is not about who's right, it's about who's left
Noxx
Making Super Restores is pretty alright at the moment, so is super defense. I would advise sticking to these, making 1k spec restores, super antifire and 1k of each extreme. Once you get to 94 start using greenmans ale to pot for overloads and make the 1k. This should work out the cheapest and leave you with fewer useless pots (ie 5k spec rests that youll never be able to use up)
Powerfrog
Make all extremes. In fact, use spicy stews and the logout trick to make all extremes from as low as 83 herblore. The whole point of training herblore is to have access to the untradable potions, and you'll go through them a lot faster than you think, and having 1000s before you're technically at the level to create them will save you a ton of cash in the long run. Also make a few 1000 special recover potions. With that said, i also recommend stopping at 91 and saving to afford the torstols to get 93+ in one boost using all the extremes you have. This makes future boosting a lot easier. Then you'll just very slowly and comfortably get 99 herblore over the years of needing more untradable potions when you finally run out.
