Looking for movies

Featured Replies

hay,

I am looking for Japanese and / or Korean films. I like movies as:

Toki O Kakeru Shojo (The Girl Who Leapt Through Time)

I do not like movies with lots of violence in it. I'd like a bit of fantasy films that have like in that movie that they travel through time = 3.

Hopefully some nice movies pop up.

Well there's the Ghibli movies, obviously, then there's Makoto Shinaki films: 5cm per second, The place promised in our early days and Children Who Chase Lost Voices from Deep Below. Summer Days is another good anime movie. For any more than that you're better off checking anime recommendation charts and such.

The thing is that I apparently have watched a version of Toki O Kakeru Shojo that is Live-Action. I watched this one:

Oh, I've never seen that before. I'm not into JDramas/KDrama ect. You'd want to be searching for live action Japanese films or J Drama if you want a TV series. All my suggestions are anime movies, although they are all good watches. Perhaps you should watch The Girl Who leapt through time in it's original animated version :)

Live action with things like time travel or history based. But I also like myth based stuff.
