You should upgrade your dfs to at least a mithril defender. Rapier would be the best weapon. The c in scimitar is silent. Guthans is bad; just use food. Using potions and turmoil would probably be a good idea too. There's more but I cbf.

Low on food try bones for peaches, costs 1 inventory space :) works for me
