FPS Drop post Optimus

Featured Replies

For the first few days of optimus, my FPS shot up to 40-50 even on maxed out settings. It was great for the time, but it slowly went back down. Drivers and Java versions are up-to-date with old versions of Java removed. I also tried manually increasing the settings for the standalone client to increase the allocated memory to 1024 (up from default 256), but the in-game displayfps dialogue still says it's only using 256ish.

I'm now standing around 20 FPS again with nothing else running and on medium settings.

Suggestions?

Optimus hasn't been released yet, it was a FPS fix. Probably all the new updates has changed something in the game-engine causing such a drop.

Does this drop cause your to physically lag in RS as it did pre-FPS fix?

Sorry, I was under the impression that massive FPS boost we got was Optimus, nevermind.

Not sure what you mean by "physically lag", but in any sort of busy areas like the GE, my FPS drops a fair bit.
