So as of last night for no apparent reason flash has ceased to work.

It loads and the right-click options and sounds are there, but nothing is shown graphically not even the video player frame or anything.

 

Any suggestions on fixes?

 

Tried cleaning caches and checking for updates.

I had this issue on FF. I believe is stems from an issue with compatibility between flash and certain GPUs; to fix this right-click on something that uses flash (eg. Youtube video), select settings (not global settings) and under the first tab untick hardware acceleration.

Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement.
