Carnillean Rising

You have to decorate all 3 spots for the 'make the cave look good' objective, I tried after doing two and the butler told me it still wasn't done.

After the quest you can talk to the chef and he'll offer you a reward for killing the Cave Wolf Matriarch (still lvl 283). The attacks are exactly the same except they do 5x more damage. The most efficient way to kill her is probably by using range/magic so you can hit her and run to avoid her magical attacks and not have to deal with her hard melee hits. The magic ball attack can hit 250+, falling stalagmites can range from 70 to 210 depending on how many hit you (each hitting 70 with a max of 4 hitting you), melee is again 250+ so it's a good idea to avoid getting close. The juvenile wolves (lvl 73 I think?) are back and will also attack you with melee, hitting a max around 100.

Matriarch drops a skull and nothing else, juvenile wolves drop wolf bones only. Take the skull back to the chef and he'll offer you 2k pure essence, 3.5k flax, 300 ground dragon scales, or 100 ground unicorn horns. Right now 3.5k flax being the most valuable at a nice 210k, pretty sweet for a 5-10 minute fight. Sadly it isn't repeatable, probably should've taken some pictures :/.

In addition to this could be expanded upon:

'Speak to Sir Ceril to find out where Philipe is gone. When you find him at each location, Philipe will hand you an experience lamp that can be used on any skill before leaving to his next adventure. Continue to speak with Sir Ceril to find Philipe as he travels around Gielenor!'

Location 1 - King's Training Ground, just west of gate inside.

Requires Biohazard and 50 QP

5k Lamp

Location 2 - Outside Fremminik Mountain Daughter Camp

Requires 100 QP

5k Lamp

Location 3 - Shilo Village, Paramaja Inn (North of river up ladder twice)

Requires Shilo Village, 150 QP and an inn ticket (bought from on location)

5k Lamp

Location 4 - Port Phasmayts, in the pub.

Requires 200 QP

10k Lamp

Location 5 - Polypore Dungeon, by the skinweaver at the bottom

Requires 250 QP

10k Lamp

Location 6 - Dorgeshuun City, by Oldak's Lab in Ne corner of ground floor

Requires Another Slice of HAM and 300QP

10k Lamp

Locations are in set order, if you lack the QP requirement Ceril won;t tell you anything. Not neccessary to speak to Ceril though Phillipe does not move on until lamp is used.

Also Mod Ash reportedly said in his FC stated that he has put in Phillippe locations at every 50 QP's up to 400 with some not being reachable yet. (Since we 333 qp max now that leaves 2 phillippe locations to unlock at later dates)

It seems necessary to ask Ceril about where Phillipe is for the first location or he won't appear there, after that he teleports to the next location after you use the lamp.

Kinda funny that they have a 350 qp and 400 qp location listed, the 400 one says not possible while the 350 one doesn't :P.

He does appear without talking to Ceril, I did not talk to Ceril once and got all the lamps.

And indeed the rs wiki (the jagex one) does list 350qp location as piscatoris fishing colony machine room and the 400qp place as south gate of priffindas.

But only 400qp is marked as ungettable, one would assume this perhaps means their test servers have already breached the 350qp quest mark (only 17 away so could be doable in like 6 quests)

We are currently in the process of confirming the number of decorations needed, as we're getting numerous reports that one decoration is actually enough, but it is also quite possible that by making only two, you are forced have three made to complete the decoration task, and could be an unintentional bug on Jagex's side. We are not sure of this yet but will follow up accordingly.

As for the post-quest activity, we're working on getting this confirmed as appropriate.

We had just updated this portion prior to your post in the item entry for Philipe's lamp.

In regards to how to find Philipe and whether or not one needs to talk to Sir Ceril Carnillean, we are working to confirm this as well.

Thanks a bunch.
