Acer Aspire One D250 - Internal Repairs

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I recently repaired my Aspire One D250 after taking it apart and reassembling it several times. Power button doesn't light up, Caps/Tab doesn't work, and the left click button is broken, but it's operational. My main problem is the power jack input is gradually being pressed more and more inside the case and charging it is becoming problematic. Now I've looked up the problem online, and from what I've read, it's happened to quite a few D250 owners. Now I plan to solder the piece back in place, but just wondered if there were any tips I needed before going ahead with this plan. I don't really want to brick it again.

tl:dr; Netbook bricked, recently fixed. Need tips on soldering the DC jack back in place.
