Artemis1330
Runescape.com redirects me to mediamind and google.com redirects me to a similar site. Ran multiple virus/malware/adware scans in regular mode and safe mode. Nothing. Running IE without addons still produces the problem. I have no idea how to fix this and it's annoying as [bleep]. Never had this issue before, started just a couple hours ago. This past week I've also been constantly getting http 404 errors when loading nearly any site. It randomly happens and I just need to keep trying till it stops. any advice? I am not a skiller, but i do some skills.
Corvus
Sounds like it would be either a Malicious DNS or Proxy server or undesired entries in your hosts file. Can't really help you resolve it without knowing what OS you are using. Thanks to DrCue at DeviantArt for the signature source

Corvus
Okay, assuming you do not have anything special set in your hosts file (ie you do not have any local network devices that you connect to by typing in a name rather than an ip address) you can follow the directions (or use the automated proccess also featured) at the following page to get rid of anything that may be happeneing with your hosts file: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/972034Check if a Proxy server is currently configured on your connection as that could be part of the problem, follow the instructions here if you use IE or Firefox (if you use some other browser I would need to look it up): http://www.ehow.com/how_6079770_using-proxy-server.htmlAlso, could you use the command prompt (cmd) to run the command "ipconfig /all" and give the IP address/es listed next to DNS Servers if they do not start with 192.168.1Also make sure you are not stealing your neighbor's internet connection as that can also cause problems along your lines.
