After a stall holder catches you thieving how long before you can talk to him without being recognised ?

You can trade or talk to him as long as you don't actually steal something from his stall - if you only get caught by him you can still freely talk/trade.

 

Once you've stolen something I believe you have to wait for 10-15 minutes, unless you have a vial of stench (a).
