I'm interested in Solo/Duo Sara GWD, and I have a few questions that I'm hoping I could get some help with.

 

1. Staff vs. Wand+Offhand vs. Wand+Shield?

 

2. If I don't have soul split and I'm wearing Ganodermic, what should I pray?

 

3. I have Reverance, Penance, and Vampirism, which would be best to use?

 

 

In case its useful, my relevant stats:

 

88 Magic

83 Prayer

92 Herb (With Ovls)

85 Def

98 Constitution

 

 

I have access to Ganodermic, SOL, Arc Stream. I could get a wand, although are they still majorly expensive?

Edit: Forgot to mention, I have 94 summon and I'm going for 96 w/festive. What familiar should I be using?

I'd recommend a shield + wand. I don't know a lot about SGWD, but I'm pretty sure that without SS and only 85 defense that you will need to use those shield abilities as a crutch.

2. If I don't have soul split and I'm wearing Ganodermic, what should I pray? ---No idea, I always use SS. Just see what you're taking the most damage from.

 

3. I have Reverance, Penance, and Vampirism, which would be best to use? ---Penance - it will give you basically free prayer for an hour. After that you can switch to one of the others.

 

 

Yes, wands are still quite expensive, but you should be able to pick up a Grifolic wand for ~200k-300k

 

As far as familiars go, you might want to go with a unicorn since you don't have soulsplit. If you find you're not needing it for healing you can always try something else, like a titan (or B.O.B. for longer trips if you like).

 

I use ice barrage, ganodermic, grifolic wand & spectral, steel titan, dreadnips, etc. and can basically camp there as long as my prayer holds out (which, with penance & prayer potion drops can be quite a long time). Sara, Bandos, and Zammy GWD are all drastically easier post-EoC if you do them right (though kills take longer).
