HTML5 Client

I personally know alot of people are complaining about that there won't be an downloadable HTML5 Client. And Jmods have confirmed that there will not be any Client released. This little tutorial will show you how to make a Client using Chrome.

 

 

 

1) Login to Runescape using Chrome (you don't have to login to the game)

 

2) Click then on the Chrome settings button

 

 

3) Mouse over Tools

 

 

4) Click on Create application shortcuts...

 

 

5) Now there is a couple of options, choose them as you see fit you.

 

7) Finally, you can now enjoy Click on the newly created icon in your taskbar.

 

Please note that this will still run on Chrome, but you'll be able to launch and play the game with just 1 click. :)

Yeah cause people who want a client are annoyed because they can't bookmark the game :rolleyes:

 

The client issue is to do with having an external client to the browser to achieve greater FPS due to not having to run the browser to access the game. This is particularly important to Linux users and users on older systems where browser run can put a serious dent into the overall performance of the game.

Yeah i know, but this gives you the feeling that you're using a client :) for people who don't like to use the browser. This will only open a popup without any address bar or bookmarks with the game.
