How to advertise a website online?

Featured Replies

I was wondering what the best ways are to advertise your website. I am working for my friends mom who owns a store and she wants me to find the best ways to advertise her store's website online.

Also how would I register her website on google/yahoo type websites.

All help is greatly appreciated.

Search engines will automatically find your site after a little while but you can speed things up by telling engines your site exists with the "add url" feature present on all decent search engines. Google's tool is here for example

Google Advertising - https://adwords.google.com/select/

Yahoo Advertising - http://www.content.overture.com/d/

You will also want to do a bit of research into Search engine Optimising (SEO) in order to get the best posible position for your site.
