There is the start of my first sig. I have NEVER tried this before so I know it does not look super great.

I need advice and roses and thorns.. Should I even continue to make sigs? Or give up now?

Please tell me the upfront truth..

How can I make it not look flat? It is 2d.. no matter what I do to it it will always look a little flat. Where do I shade? Do I use darker collors on the edges? Please explain.. I am open.

when shading, establish a single light source (in theory its easier then ambient lighting) objects facing that will be lighter then those turned away, objects with actual cornors will have crisper contrast, and objects that are rounded will have smoother transitions. Look around at different peoples sigs, in paticular in Media Market competitions that are for large amounts, usually you can see some nice shading in there to get a feel for how others pixel shade then keep doing it until you find a style that fits.

is this a bad start for a first try?
