Haven't played RS in a while and I'm currently removing non-important accounts to multiple sites. So could you please remove my account here :)

Administrators here will confirm my note to you that they don't delete accounts. The best you can have done is to have your account here banned, but I would really recommend against doing so, as that cuts off your access to your posts and other things. :(

 

If you're really leaving, have fun out in the world. Just don't forget to set a really secure password here, and then keep a note of it written on paper and hidden in a super-safe place, should you ever decide to come back. I don't think your account will be hacked while you're gone, but at least doing this will seal the account off without needing a ban done. ;)

Then policies have changed, as that used to be a hard line in the sand... It used to be that if anyone wanted that, it was blocked for many reasons, including upkeep of Moderation Data and prevention of loss of stolen accounts. :-k

Many policies have changed over the years. :P. I know that we can delete them because I've recently browsed the forums and come across posts by members who accounts have been removed.

 

As for moderation records - we have lengthy records of each report made, reported/removed/edited post, warning given, ban issued, PM sent, everything. Records aren't an issue.

 

We can tell if accounts have been hijacked. Obviously if someone requested their account be deleted, that'd be one of the first things we'd check. :P.
