February 20, 200620 yr Aye, friends or more likely family have probably got in touch and asked for the account to be locked. Don't really think there's much of a mystery to it. Exactly. The people on IRC noticed this several days ago. A day later his sister appeared in the tip.it IRC room thanking everyone for all the support and messages. Someone asked about his RS account and we were told it had "been taken care of". It's rather obvious that his family knew all about what he did online. They knew how to cancel his membership, they knew about the Tip.It IRC room and most likely had a word with customer support and had the account locked. Either way, it's for the best having the account locked. It may not be on the highscores, but it's safely tucked away where no one can get to it with all the publicity the name has gotten.
February 20, 200620 yr What Cruiser said is true. I was also told by a jmod "Indeed we are aware of his passing away. I believe mod ..... has dealt with his account" Most of the time a player will leave the game do to whatever circumstances, and Jagex will not know and have no proof that they will not be coming back. That is why there are names on highscores of players that some of you know have left (again for various reasons). So don't get upset that you will not be seeing his name anymore, just keep a place in your heart for him if you were truily friends. I suspect thats the way he would like it.
