January 7, 201412 yr I currently have my interface setup like this and have quick-saved it as my custom 1. Now everytime I re-open Rs the screen and interface sizes mess up and I then have to resize everything. Now I wonder if there is way to not let this happen.Hope you guys can help. This is what my interface looks like:
January 7, 201412 yr There's two things that mess up layouts: 1) Loading the game on a smaller (or larger) size (or resolution) than it was when the layout was made.Eg if you play with it fullscreen and make your layout in fullscreen but log in with the window small it'll mess up. This is avoided by making sure you keep your play window size and screen resolution consistent; or just face the fact you'll be messed about each time. 2) Various boxes seem to exert a strange 'force' on each other (for want of a better term) and over time nudge each other slightly (eg map might get narrower than the rest of the sidebar)This should usually happen slowly over time, though on the odd occasion it can jump rather dramatically. There isn't really a fix for this other than reloading your layout, but as it should only happen in small increments most of the time it can be ignored a lot of the time until it gets bad. Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
January 7, 201412 yr 2) Various boxes seem to exert a strange 'force' on each other (for want of a better term) and over time nudge each other slightly (eg map might get narrower than the rest of the sidebar)Main culprits there are the ability bar and the menu bar, from what I've experienced. It seems those usually try to move one pixel up and one pixel to the right whenever you saved your interface and re-loaded it. Example: Menu bar decides it wants to move one pixel up and one pixel to the left. It can't move any further to the left, but it can move one pixel up, pushing the ability bar away in the process. In order to have a more "stable" interface, I found it was better to have the ability bar and menu bar completely apart from other interfaces. I'm gonna agree with you that it doesn't look the best; I'd rather be able to have a setup like yours where nothing obstructs the screen, but various interfaces keep strangely moving by amounts of 1 pixel, which ends up messing up a lot of things. Is that screenshot what it should look like normally? Can you give us a screenshot of what it looks like whenever you reload RS?
