February 8, 201412 yr A new year has come and as I occasionally look around on Tip.It, i noticed a few accounts that had "DIY" in them after futher investigation I found out that they were "do it yourself" accounts. Which basically means every single thing you gain/do on runescape is all dependent on you! which sounds like a lot of fun! so here we are! The reason why I chose to do this style of account was from a few influences namely - Corbulo DIY and Oddish DIY. I loved the idea of having to train every single skill up in order to unlock something else and ties all the runescape skills together which in my honest opinion people don't seem to realise that much. Like Mining! you start with getting ores then smelt them into bars which trains smithing, then you can use them however you want too either make armour or weapons for your combat stats! It's going to be a long and fun ride! We'll start with my goals: As of 8/2/2014: - 40+ base stats I do not have many goals only because i'm starting and can't think of many but i'll add them as we go along! Rules: - No Trading (Shield of Arrav and Heroes Quest excluded)- No Grand Exchange (Tutorial can be done to unlock potion decanting)- No RISK PvP (I can kill people in wild if need be, but I cant loot their pile)- No Lending items- Selfmade binds in dungeoneering (Monster/Boss drops also work)- I am aloud to give myself bonds from main to pay for membership (gifted) So i've done a little bit on the account obviously still remaining within the DIY rules here are starting pictures! Bank - Starting skills - Runescape is a haven..
February 8, 201412 yr Good look with your DIY :D It's really rewarding and great finding different ways to get things done in the game to what you're used to aswell :) Blog of DG, Bossing (mostly Glacors) and stuff - Runetrack Play Safe! - Got useful information for the tip.it website? Post here!
February 8, 201412 yr Author Also if anyone's got great tips as to how to obtain useful items or even useful quests either for exp/gp would be great! Runescape is a haven..
February 9, 201412 yr Killerwatts, they drop air and fire battle staffs and after scorpion catcher you can turn it in to mystic air staff and it makes training mage so easy.also Greater Runic staff is the easiest t75 staff to obtain but does require 90rc. at 50 range the easiest weapon and ammo to obtain is hunter c'bow with kibbit bolts. also tiaras are not the fastest crafting xp but they are the easiest.
February 13, 201412 yr Author So after a fair bit of time spent killing chickens which is surprisingly faster exp then killing cows.. Corbulo told me about burthorpe for flax for crafting exp.. Went up there and discovered this beauty.. a tanner, a bunch of cows and a bank.. It was so wonderful after getting beefy bill to bank my hides.. I've now got the crafting level I wanted after a hour or so playing, tomorrows goal is to go and get spider silk! and balance out my combat stats.. but here's the bank update. :) Anyone know where I can get some decent prayer exp? Runescape is a haven..
February 13, 201412 yr I like the idea of this DIY. SOmething I might look into in the future. Best of luck with your goals :)
February 14, 201412 yr Try the god statues D&D for prayer xp :P You'll get construction xp too. However you might wanna wait until last day of february to do this as the xp is scaled by level and the event is once a month only.
February 15, 201412 yr Author Done a few quests today, don't really know where to go next before I get members anyone got any ideas or should i just go P2P? Runescape is a haven..
