Forgot to say when I was at school they had trips to Ecuador and Kenya. They do a big trip each year for the seniors. I never went on any of those trips, but I wish I had.

Biggest trip I did at school was go to York for a week in Primary School :P

I don't think I'd like going with a school group though, maybe I'm spoiled, but when I travel with my family we can all sort of discuss what we want to do and can spend a longer amount of time in certain areas instead of having a set schedule and seeing all of europe in 2 weeks, that's pretty hard to do. Only downside is that if you want to experience it like this, it would take a few trips to do this. I'd like to spend more than a couple days in a city to really experience it, otherwise its not really worth it for me.

I thought about that, so i asked some of the people who went last year, and they said it was perfect. Just the right amount of time in each city and such. I myself just want to go to see some beautiful scenery, and a little "history lesson" here an there

I dunno.. i want a good camera.. but is 800$ overkill.. maby even get the actual FILM (Rebel) from canon for 150$ and use that

Heh LP, I got a Minolta Dimage Z5, fairly cheep (got for christmas) and it works great :D.

How much $$? and got any example pics.. and is it an SLR? :P

I went to Barcelona with my school two years ago, it rocked.

However your trip seems very expensive, but i supose you'll be flying over etc, and it is for a couple of weeks.

Meh, if I were you I'd go, as long as a good friend of mine was going to share the experiance with.

I wish my school offered cool crap like that. All our school gives is the seniors a trip to D.C. each year. Whoo, been there about 5 times.

If you're going for a DSLR, I would go with Canon, like you said you wanted. They have some of the best DSLR's I've seen. That seems to be where they excel.

Film, however, I would choose a company like Nikon or Konica-Minolta. I remember my first SLR, a Konica Minolta Maxxum 50. Ahhh... I am still shooting film with all my personal cameras, as my dad was a major photographer (he won this cool NYC film comp). But right now my dad's letting my use his old Nikon until I get enough saved up to buy the FM 10.

Oh yeah, I have about 3 lenses so far :) and I love em all. Wide angle lenses rule (don't buy a cheap one though, that can give you image distorion).

  • 2 weeks later...

I'm planning on going travelling once I have enough money saved up. I'm guessing it'll be about a year yet.

Gonna try and go to America & Australia amongst other places. Hopefully I would be travelling for about a year. Maybe try and get small jobs in places that I stop.

Most people when visiting the u.s., like to visit california. Im not suggesting that you do, but if you do I give you this heads up: don't plan on spending a large amount of time in the l.a. or hollywood areas... they're dirty and really overglorified in movies. Two cities that are rather nice though: San Diego and San Fransisco.

What's the suppose to mean...*keeps a eye on you*

The best trip I had, was going from Califronia (L.A, which stevester doesn't seem to like...) all the way to New York, by car too. WE visted the Great Momuments, (FYI, they really rip you off at the Momument's pakring, $5 PER person) 4-Coners, the Rockies, the borin plains (flat flat flat) St. Louis and the archway, Chicago, Nigrara Falls, Toronto, NYC, D.C, Memphis (nothin much there) and back home.

The best school trip I had was to a water park lol. But I'm not in High School, so I may never know...
