July 26, 201411 yr When I click play now, the screen is black, if I tab away and go back, what would be the game window is white, but nothing more ever happens. I got on osrs once when I first came back, and it hasn't worked since. I have tried all this stuff:Update your java versionReinstall JavaClear browser cacheClear Jagex cacheTry another browserTry the official RS clientTry using different graphics mode (software, OpenGL, DirectX) for troubleshootingTry switching between high and low detail to see if only one has the problemUpdate graphics card drive Plus anything else mentioned on Jagex's 'help' sites. (clearing cache, ect...)
July 26, 201411 yr Need to uninstall java entirely, then switch to Java 7 Update 60. In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.
July 26, 201411 yr Author I have uninstalled java, then re installed, I have update 65 (I think, based on what I see on the java site) How do I get 60 instead?

July 26, 201411 yr Author Thanks, I'll try that after I finish my Hero pickpocketing daily. Well that worked... Gotta use old version... Thats dumb...
July 26, 201411 yr It's not dumb, it's an old version of RS. In all seriousness, they just didn't have time to update rs for the new version of Java that's all.
July 26, 201411 yr RS downloadable client doesn't care about what version of Java you have installed (or if you even have it installed at all), not sure why that would prevent the RS Client from working O_o
