spooferfish
When I click play now, the screen is black, if I tab away and go back, what would be the game window is white, but nothing more ever happens. I got on osrs once when I first came back, and it hasn't worked since. I have tried all this stuff:Update your java versionReinstall JavaClear browser cacheClear Jagex cacheTry another browserTry the official RS clientTry using different graphics mode (software, OpenGL, DirectX) for troubleshootingTry switching between high and low detail to see if only one has the problemUpdate graphics card drive Plus anything else mentioned on Jagex's 'help' sites. (clearing cache, ect...)
Saradomin_Mage
Need to uninstall java entirely, then switch to Java 7 Update 60. In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.
spooferfish
I have uninstalled java, then re installed, I have update 65 (I think, based on what I see on the java site) How do I get 60 instead?

Sbrideau
It's not dumb, it's an old version of RS. In all seriousness, they just didn't have time to update rs for the new version of Java that's all.
Ammako
RS downloadable client doesn't care about what version of Java you have installed (or if you even have it installed at all), not sure why that would prevent the RS Client from working O_o
