March 31, 201511 yr So I guess it is about time for me to get a fire cape on my 07 account, but I'm curious as to what weapon would be the best for me. Back when I got my first cape in RS2, I used rune crossbow with broad/diamond bolts. However, several options exist in this game that I really didn't have previously, namely Crystal Bow (i) and Karil's Crossbow (without having to spend a mint on racks). My other gear is the generic Verac's with d'hide top. Currently my stats are.... 80 hp71 ranged79 defense70 prayer So between Karil's, crystal, and rune (with probably addy/diamond bolts), which do you think would be the best option? March 31, 201511 yr Karil's crossbow. In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.
March 31, 201511 yr With those stats it really doesn't matter since you shouldn't have any problems reaching Jad. Karil's is the best all-around weapon but crystal bow is the safest due to its range, which makes luring and safespotting much more forgiving and easier.
March 31, 201511 yr Author Do you know roughly how many racks I need per run? The number 3000 stands out in my mind for some reason, but I'm not sure. I also don't want to spend my entire bank on racks either, so I'd rather not overbuy by a large number. I looked at several guides, but none of them really talk about how many racks you need (and most of them don't even recommend Karil's). EDIT: Is it worth bringing both crystal and Karil's? March 31, 201511 yr You can use both weapons if you want since you have high prayer. I'd bring 3k racks to be safe then sell the leftovers afterwards
