April 5, 201511 yr How would i go about allocating more RAM to my RS3 swiftkit client?? Everytime i type "displayfps" in the developer chat thing, it shows the RAM in RED. Everything else is normal except the RAM, and it makes my gameplay twitchy. I have a i5 4690k and a gtx 970 with 8gb of RAM and i run 50 fps almost everywhere. Please, if anyone knows how to allocate more RAM to RS3 on swiftkit.. please tell me how!!! (: Thanks! Pic of Displayfps: http://gyazo.com/04af4dc16fe8759759e3df91835c7bb8
April 5, 201511 yr Hello, welcome to TIF :). I'm moving your topic to the Swiftkit forum where it is better suited and one of their staff will hopefully be able to help. There is nominally a fix someone told me about (outside of Swiftkit) but every time I tried it, it forced me to start the game in safe mode and wouldn't load the other modes. Also, I infer that you were trying to post right as the forum went down for daily backup and whatever so I realize it was probably an accident, but it seems it made about ten other copies...if you could only click once next time it would be appreciated :D. April 6, 201511 yr Author Never tried, but more than likely the same... Is it possible to allocate more RAM to swiftkit rs3 or not?
April 6, 201511 yr Are you using the JAVA or HTML5 client? You can allocate more RAM to JAVA - not sure about HTML5/webgl
April 7, 201511 yr Author Sorry i haven't responded in a while.. I don't really know what HTML5 client is... so probably Java. Java uses a lot of CPU usage sometimes when i play runescape. Do you know how to add more ram to java? Maybe that would lower my cpu usage as well? If i added more ram to java.. would that allow more ram to go to Runescape3 in swiftkit? ty!!
April 7, 201511 yr HTML5 is this, a beta client that RuneScape tried out but is currently being phased out in favor of a C++ client in the future instead. If you don't know what it is, you are probably using the Java version. "Fight for what you believe in, and believe in what you're fighting for." April 15, 201511 yr Just butting in here with some additional information :) The HTML5 client lets you utilize multiple cores etc and generally leads to better gameplay, but we'll see how long it will be around for. The java increase won't do much as RS the mselves ahrdcode the java allocation into the client :) RuneScape Treasure Trails
