Yak-scythe Posted April 8, 2015 Share Posted April 8, 2015 I'm having trouble upgrading my ranged weapons can anyone help me with some alternatives? i'm currently 41 and using a maple shortbow..any suggestions are great appreciated! also if anyone has any melee weapon upgrade ideas, that would help too. :3 Runescape is a haven.. Could also use adamant javelins and offhand steel knives, still better accuracy and damage output than maple shortbows. In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers. jim_vierling Posted April 9, 2015 Share Posted April 9, 2015 Train your fletching up to make yew bows. Steel arrows will suffice at first. Use Addy javelins, (you can get lots from Bronze Dragon drops), for Infernal Mages and Abberant Spectres. Do the required quests until you can get the Crystal bow. Oddish DIY Posted April 9, 2015 Share Posted April 9, 2015 40 ranged: Yew Shortbow - from dried zombies in southeast corner of the desert. It's a really common drop and theyre easy to kill. Ammo: Adamant arrows - range guild (100) + varrock ranged store (30) 50 ranged: Orange Salamander Ammo: Marrentill tar 60 ranged: Red Salamander Ammo: Tarromin tar 70 ranged: Black Salamander / Crystal Bow Ammo: Harralander tar / bow repair 75 ranged: Handcannon - these explode pretty commonly now but you're gonna want to camp for dragon pickaxe anyway Ammo: Handcannon ammo Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
