November 26, 20169 yr So I wanna buy parts on Monday for a new pc, but I can't decide between these 2 builds. I've never built a pc before, so I'm not super confident in my ability to compare them. The "$1,000 GAMING PC (VR-READY)" build on this page: https://elitegamingcomputers.com/top-gaming-computers/#30 And this build: https://pcpartpicker.com/guide/jBWG3C/modest-gaming-build The first build has better hardware, but it's about $200 more expensive, and I don't know how to tell if it's worth the extra money. Usage will mostly just be general use stuff with light gaming. I really, really, would like it to be able to multi-task well, because my current laptop does not, and nothing makes me more sad. My budget is a soft $1000, but both of these are under that and hopefully cyber monday deals will make it even cheaper, so that's not a big concern. So yeah, if anyone could help me compare them, that'd be awesome. My skin is finally getting softI'll scrub until the damn thing comes off

In terms of picking my own parts, I tried at first, but stepping straight into that with no experience is a bit too big of a step, and I felt I could use this as a first step to get my feet wet without feeling overwhelmed. January 6, 20179 yr I did go out of the way to buy a used Xeon Desktop. I know its hypocritical but, it was a PC that I could have thrown together myself. 1000 Dollars is a great price for a new gaming tower, although it might be overkill if you are planning to play RuneScape on iit. Good luck, also try craigslist or kijiji.
