will BXP trigger when dismantling an item?  That would be a ton of BXP if it works....

No.

 

For invention you get double xp for blueprint discovery and items you are levelling gain xp 50% faster, which makes for 150% xp in terms of xp/hr, but you can't pre-stock levelled items.
