You could equip 2 sets of armor and weapons (i.e. range armor and mage armor) and then you could switch in a battle

 

 

 

It would take one turn

 

 

 

This would add a unique element while pking

 

 

 

You would lose only the armor you have equiped and the items in your inventory

 

 

 

Also you wouldn't be able to switch right when you die to protect your valuable stuff because it takes a turn to switch.
