The "NES Synthesizer"

I'm not sure about the rest of you, but as a kid, I've always enjoyed the music on the NES games. I've always wanted to mess around with a synthesizer that could use the NES sounds, and I stumbled across one here.. The "2A03 Synthesizer" as it was known...

For those of you familiar with the 8-bit music scene, the 2A03 was the integrated circuit at the heart of the old Nintendo Entertainment System. The 2A03 was a custom IC containing, among other things, a 6502 processor and audio generator circuits. These circuits are what gave the NES it's unique sound

You *could* use your pc keyboard to play it, but if you have a midi keyboard that you can hook up to your pc (still trying to find what I need to hook mine up... is it a midi cable of some sort? I'm not too pc savvy...) then you can probably play it more easily IMO.

easy peasy m8

most pre-playstation1 games use simple synthesis for their music and the majority of nes music is based on saw and square waves.

any crap synth can emulate it ;)
